Our comprehensive design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT) recommendations can help to shorten new product startup cycles and can help to eliminate common manufacturing issues.
In addition to new product design services, RiverSide is also experienced in assisting Customers in converting leaded electronic assemblies into surface mount assemblies. During surface mount conversion projects, RiverSide performs research to select surface mount packaged components that are equivalent to original leaded components. After component recommendations are made and approved by the Customer, circuit boards often need layout changes to accommodate surface mount assembly. We provide that service as well. When the new surface mount compatible design is complete, RiverSide is able to verify that circuit board functionality has been maintained through prototype assembly and testing.
Is ROHS a concern? Knowledgeable RiverSide personnel assist Customers by performing in-depth research required to convert non-compliant assembly Bills of Material (BOM's) to equivalent ROHS compliant BOM's. All resulting recommendations are reviewed, approved, and controlled by the Customer.
